Who We Are
We’re a big, blended, and beautifully imperfect family of seven, reconnecting with the outdoors — and with each other — one trail at a time. We’ve faced our share of setbacks, but our journey is about more than just healing; it’s about thriving in the places we love the most: the woods, the water, and around a campfire.
Our Story
Beginning in 2025, my wife and I committed to a serious health journey — together we’ve lost over 100 pounds and gained a whole new perspective. With two of our sons proudly serving in the U.S. Army, a 15-year-old daughter who keeps us laughing, and a young adult son with autism who helps us see the world through a different lens, we are a real-life example of resilience, love, and growth.
Why Redemption Trails
We started Redemption Trails to document our comeback — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Our hope is that by sharing the ups, downs, gear fails, scenic views, and campfire wisdom, we can encourage others to take their first step back into nature and back toward hope.
Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just lacing up your shoes, you’re welcome here. We believe the outdoors are for every body, and that it’s never too late for a fresh start.

This isn’t just our comeback story — it might be yours, too. Follow along for trail adventures, kayak trips, gear reviews, and raw family moments. Let’s walk this road together.
Meet the Redemption Trails Family
We’re the heart behind Redemption Trails—a husband and wife rediscovering life off the beaten path, along with our incredible kids. Two of our sons currently serve in the U.S. Army, one son thrives with autism and teaches us new things every day, and our youngest is a creative and curious teenager who’s always up for the next adventure.
We don’t have it all figured out, but what we do have is each other, a love for nature, and a desire to share our story in hopes that it inspires someone else to begin theirs.
